Your account was suspended or you were removed from a campaign

Two different things share the word banned. Which one happened to you, what it means for your money, and where to appeal each.

Written by CR Support

Seeing the word banned is a shock, so first let's work out which of the two things actually happened to you.

If the app itself says Account suspended, that is Content Rewards, it applies to every campaign, and you appeal to us. If the app works but the brand's community shows Access denied, you've been removed from this Whop, that is the brand's decision, it applies to that brand's campaigns only, and it can also be appealed once through us. In both cases money already in your balance stays yours; the one exception is confirmed fraud, botting or cheating, where the Terms let us offset the loss against it.

Which one happened to you

What you see

What it is , and whose decision

The app shows Account suspended and nothing else loads

Your Content Rewards account is suspended. It applies to every campaign.

Ours.

The app works, but the brand's community shows Access denied: you've been removed from this Whop

The brand removed you from its campaigns. You can no longer submit to any campaign of that brand; other brands are unaffected.

The decision is the brand's.

Neither, but we have told you that one clip is flagged

A flag on one clip. Your account and your other clips carry on.

Ours, and you can appeal it. See Flagged and botted submissions.

If your account was suspended

A suspension follows a review that found the account breaking the Terms, most often buying or generating views, likes, followers or engagement, or coordinating to do so, which under the Terms means a permanent ban. You will not see the evidence in the app; the appeal is where that conversation happens. Under the Terms you may appeal once through Content Rewards support, and a person reviews it, so open Help & Support (the chat bubble in the corner of this page and of the app) and include your Content Rewards username and the email on the account, which campaigns and clips you believe the decision relates to, and anything that shows the engagement was real, such as analytics screenshots, where the traffic came from, or a paid boost a brand arranged. The social accounts connected to a permanently banned account can be blocked from the platform with it, including under a different email or account.

That is the whole screen. If it is what you see, the account itself is suspended, not one clip.

If a brand removed you

The people running a brand's campaigns decide who is in them, and a removal takes you out of all of that brand's campaigns at once. A removal can also reach the clips that brand had already approved: pending and approved submissions can be rejected, and earnings that have not settled yet can be held or returned to the campaign, so approval before a removal is not a guarantee of payment. Money already in your Content Rewards Balance, or already withdrawn to Whop, is not affected. A removal of this kind can be appealed once through Content Rewards support: open Help & Support, name the brand and the clip or behaviour you think the removal relates to, and say what you would do differently. We put it to the brand, and the brand decides; we cannot add you back to a campaign on a brand's behalf, in the same way we cannot approve a clip for one.

A removal looks like this when you open one of that brand's campaigns. It says Whop because the brand's space lives there.

Your money

Money

After a suspension , and after a brand removal

Already in your Content Rewards Balance

Stays yours, unless we offset a loss from confirmed fraud, botting or cheating on the account.

Stays yours.

Approved but not yet paid

Returned to the campaign.

Can be rejected and returned to the campaign.

Still pending review

Returned to the campaign.

Usually rejected and returned to the campaign.

Already withdrawn

Never touched.

Never touched.

Whichever one it is, the route to appeal is above, and it's the only route that works.
