Your submission has been pending for days

Where your clip is while it shows Pending, who is holding it, what actually moves it, and the one thing that does not.

Written by CR Support

Waiting on a clip is the hard part, so here is exactly where it sits and who moves it.

The campaign's own team reviews every clip and sets the pace, Content Rewards does not review clips or decide the order, and there is no fixed time on a review. You can check three things yourself while you wait, and you can ask the team directly from the campaign page. The one situation where we step in is a campaign whose team cannot be reached at all; that is at the end.

Who reviews your clip

Every clip goes to the people running that campaign for the brand, whether that is the brand itself or an agency. They read the brief they wrote, watch your clip and approve or reject it against the requirements written on the campaign. That is the whole reason a wait can feel like nothing is happening: the queue you are in belongs to the campaign, not to us, so the people who can answer "when will mine be reviewed" are in the campaign's support chat rather than in ours.

What happens between submit and approve

  1. You submit, and the clip shows under Pending on your Submissions page while we fetch the post's data and confirm it passes the campaign's checks. The card already shows the views and, on CPM, what it has earned so far.

  2. It joins the campaign's queue, where the team sees it alongside every other clip submitted to that campaign. Some campaigns only review a clip once it has reached a view minimum or been live for a set time, and they say so in the brief.

  3. The team decides, and the clip moves to Approved, or to Rejected with their reason on it.

Only the first step has a clock on it. How long the middle takes depends entirely on the campaign.

What can be holding it

What the brief says

What it means for your clip

Clips are reviewed once they reach a view count or have been live for a set time

Until yours meets the condition it is not in the review queue yet, it is waiting to enter it.

The brief asks for your analytics or a demographics screenshot before review

A clip submitted without it sits in Pending until the team has what they asked for.

Nothing about timing

The team clears the queue when they sit down to it, often in one batch rather than continuously, so a clip submitted just after a batch waits for the next one.

What to do while you wait

  1. Read the brief again for a review condition: a minimum view count, a minimum time live, or an analytics step. If there is one and your clip has not met it yet, that is the answer, and nothing else on this list will speed it up.

  2. Ask in the campaign's support chat. Open the campaign page, press the support chat at the top left, and give the clip link and the date you submitted. That is the only place where someone can look at your clip and tell you where it is in their queue.

  3. Keep posting. A pending clip does not block new submissions to the same campaign, and it does not push your other clips back.

  4. Do not submit the same post again. A post can only go into a campaign once, so a second submission is refused, and it does not move the original.

Your earnings while you wait

On a CPM campaign, waiting costs you nothing: every view on the post counts once the clip has passed the campaign's minimum, the money is set aside for you from the campaign's budget as the views come in, and approval, when it lands, sets the finish line seven days later rather than starting anything. On per post the amount is fixed, is set aside the moment the clip reaches the campaign's minimum views, and pays shortly after approval, so the wait does not change what it pays. How the money then moves is in Payouts.

What does not help

Writing to Content Rewards support to speed up a review. We cannot approve, reject or reorder a queue that is not ours, and a message to us does not reach the campaign's team; the campaign's support chat does.

When something has actually gone wrong

What happened

What to do

The campaign ended or spent its budget while your clip was pending

The team can still approve it, but a campaign with no budget left cannot pay a new approval until the brand tops it up. See The campaign ended, paused or ran out of budget.

The campaign's support chat is missing, closed, or nobody has answered in a week

This is the one case where we step in. Open Help & Support (the chat bubble in the corner of this page and of the app), send us the campaign name and the clip link, and we will do our best to help, though the decision stays with the campaign's team and we cannot promise an outcome yet.

The clip shows Rejected and the reason is not something in the brief

Press Rejection reason on the clip, then send us the clip link and the reason; a rejection has to rest on the campaign's written requirements, and we put it to the team. See Approval and review.

That's the whole of it: the campaign's team holds the clip, and you know what to check while they do.
