Getting started: on your own or with an agency

Two ways to run a campaign, which one fits you, and the steps to your first live campaign.

Written by CR Support

Two ways to do this, and picking the right one saves a lot of time later.

There are two ways to run a campaign here: you run it yourself from the brand dashboard, or an agency runs it for you inside your organization. We recommend an agency for a first campaign, and we'll introduce you to one. Either way you fund the budget and you see everything.

Which way to go

What

On your own, and with an agency

Writes the brief, sets the rate

You The agency, with you

Finds and manages creators

Creators find your campaign on Discover; you answer them in the campaign chat The agency brings its own creators and manages them daily

Reviews every clip

You or your team The agency's moderators

Watches for botted views

You, using the bot score on each clip The agency, using the same score

Costs

The platform fee The agency's fee, agreed with them, plus the platform fee

Fits when

You have source material, someone to review daily, and a budget to learn on You have no content library, nobody to run the queue, or a budget worth protecting with experience

The agency's fee is a separate arrangement between you and them, outside the campaign budget. Our fee is set by your organization, not by who operates it.

Getting an agency

Every live campaign on Discover shows which organization runs it, so you can see who runs campaigns like yours. Or ask us: open Help & Support (the chat bubble in the corner of this page and of the app), say what you sell, what content you have and roughly what you want to spend, and we'll introduce you to one that fits. The agency then works inside your organization, so you keep the dashboard, the data and the budget.

What an agency does day to day: finds and briefs creators, tests hooks and formats, reviews submissions, rejects what doesn't meet the brief, catches botted clips before they settle, and reports to you. How they price that work is in Running campaigns for clients, written for agencies and worth reading from your side.

Setting up on your own

  1. Create your organization: logo, name, website and a short description. Use the company rather than a personal name. An agency running several brands creates one organization per brand and switches between them from the menu at the top left.

  2. Invite your team from Settings, then Team. Admins manage the team, the campaigns and billing; moderators manage campaigns and review content but not the team; teammates are added instantly with the role you pick.

  3. Create a campaign: pick the model, write the brief, set the rate and the rules. See Create a campaign.

  4. Fund it. The campaign goes live as soon as the payment confirms; there's no approval step in between. See Funding your account.

Brands work from the brand dashboard, opened from your Whop dashboard. If you're looking at Discover with a Join campaign button, you're in the creator app, which is a different app for a different job.

Invite team members: teammates are added with the role you pick, Moderator by default

Getting help

Support is Help & Support, the chat bubble in the corner. Tell us whether you're a brand or an agency and which campaign you mean, and you'll reach the team that handles organizations.

Whichever you pick, the first campaign teaches you the most. Create a campaign is the next step.
