Wondering what this actually costs before you commit? Here it is, both fees and nothing hidden.
You pay two things: a 10% platform fee on every creator payout, taken from the campaign budget you fund, and Whop's payment processing fee on money coming in. There's no subscription, no setup fee, and nothing for having an account. The one exception to the 10% is a verified organization, which pays 8%.
What you pay, and when
Charge | How much, and when |
Platform fee | 10% of each creator payout, or 8% for a verified organization As each approved clip settles |
Payment processing | Whop's fee, shown as its own line before you confirm When you fund or top up |
Subscription, setup, seats, listing, idle months | Nothing Never |
That's the whole list. Nothing is charged when you create a campaign, when you launch it, or while it sits paused.
What creators pay
Creators pay their own fee out of their side of a payout, so it never changes what you pay. On CPM campaigns it's a flat 10%. On per post and retainer campaigns with a budget of $5,000 or more they pay nothing.
Payment processing
Whop moves the money, so Whop's processing fee applies to every deposit. It appears as a separate line in the top up dialog, beside the budget you're adding and the total that will be charged, before you confirm. It's added to the deposit rather than taken from the budget, and it isn't returned if you later ask for unspent budget back.
If an agency runs your campaign
An agency's fee is agreed between you and the agency and sits outside the campaign budget. Our fee is set by your organization, not by who operates it, so it stays 10% unless your organization is verified. See Getting started: on your own or with an agency.
Getting unspent budget back
Budget that was never paid to a creator can be returned through a refund request, which our team reviews. The platform fee is only taken on money that reached a creator. What comes back, how long it takes and the hold applied to it are in Funding your account. Whop's processing fee isn't returned.
That's the whole cost. When you're ready to put money behind a campaign, Funding your account walks through it step by step.
